Visit by Miyagi Prefectural Assembly Member Taku Watanabe and Fukuoka City Assembly Member Takashi Shirabe

On March 31, Mr. Taku Watanabe, a member of the Miyagi Prefectural Assembly, and Mr. Takashi Shirabe, a member of the Fukuoka City Assembly, visited NanoTerasu. They were guided through the facility by Mr. Kawakami, Director of the NanoTerasu Secretariat, and Dr. Masataka Kado, Leader of the Promotion and Public Relation Group.

Following opening remarks by Director Kawakami in the exhibition hall, Dr. Kado provided an overview of NanoTerasu’s structure and its advanced technologies. The visitors then toured the experimental hall.

During the tour, they received explanations about several beamlines, including the highly popular resonant inelastic X-ray scattering (RIXS) beamline, which attracts many international users and achieves world-leading energy resolution.
