On April 3, Planning Committee for the Social Innovation Forum of the Japan Electrical, Electronic & Information Union delegation visited NanoTerasu and was guided by Masataka Kado, Leader of the Promotion and Public Relation Group of the NanoTerasu Secretariat.

On April 1, the Sendai Meiji Youth College delegation visited NanoTerasu and was guided by Masataka Kado, Leader of the Promotion and Public Relation Group of the NanoTerasu Secretariat.

On March 31, Mr. Taku Watanabe, a member of the Miyagi Prefectural Assembly, and Mr. Takashi Shirabe, a member of the Fukuoka City Assembly, visited NanoTerasu. They were guided through the facility by Mr. Kawakami, Director of the NanoTerasu Secretariat, and Dr. Masataka Kado, Leader of the Promotion and Public Relation Group.

Following opening remarks by Director Kawakami in the exhibition hall, Dr. Kado provided an overview of NanoTerasu’s structure and its advanced technologies. The visitors then toured the experimental hall.

During the tour, they received explanations about several beamlines, including the highly popular resonant inelastic X-ray scattering (RIXS) beamline, which attracts many international users and achieves world-leading energy resolution.

On March 31, Mr. Takahashi, Manager of the Promotion and Public Relation Group at the NanoTerasu Secretariat, guided visitors from Aomori Builtech Co., Ltd. on a tour of NanoTerasu.

On March 26, Dr. Kado, Leader of the Promotion and Public Relation Group at the NanoTerasu Secretariat, guided 27 high school students from Waseda Juku on a tour of NanoTerasu.

On March 25, Mr. Takahashi, Manager of the Promotion and Public Relation Group at the NanoTerasu Secretariat, guided visitors from Tohoku Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry Next-Generation Plastics Seminar on a tour of NanoTerasu.

On March 23, Mr. Takahashi, Manager of the Promotion and Public Relation Group at the NanoTerasu Secretariat, guided visitors from Tohoku Electric Power Network Co., Inc. Network Service Center on a tour of NanoTerasu.

On March 18, a delegation from Hsinchu City, Taiwan, led by Mayor Ann Kao, visited NanoTerasu as part of a facility tour organized by the Miyagi Prefectural Government’s Department of Economy, Trade and Industry, and Tourism.
During the visit, the delegation toured the NanoTerasu experimental hall under the guidance of the Promotion and Public Relation Group of the NanoTerasu Secretariat. The visit concluded with a commemorative group photo.
Although the visit was brief, the participants gained an understanding of NanoTerasu’s advanced capabilities as a fourth-generation synchrotron radiation facility, as well as its excellent user environment.

On March 17, approximately 150 first-year students from Sendai Minami High School visited NanoTerasu as part of their new school program, the “Inquiry Bus Tour.”
The students were divided into three groups of about 50 participants each and took part in a two-hour program. The visit included an overview presentation of NanoTerasu in the exhibition hall, a tour of the experimental hall, and a hands-on workshop combined with a backstage tour.
This marked the first time NanoTerasu hosted a group of this size. It was also the first attempt to incorporate a workshop and backstage tour into the program. Despite these new challenges, the event was completed successfully without any major issues.
As it is expected that opportunities to host large groups, such as school excursions, will increase in the future, initiatives like this will play an important role in accommodating such visits.

On March 10, Ms. Kazuko Ikuta, Director of the Policy Division, Minister’s Secretariat of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), and her delegation visited NanoTerasu. They were guided by Dr. Takahashi, Director General of the QST NanoTerasu Center, Mr. Kawakami, Director of the NanoTerasu Secretariat, and Dr. Takata, President of the Photon Science Innovation Center (PhoSIC).

Following an overview presentation on NanoTerasu and an introduction to the coalition framework, the delegation toured the experimental hall. During the tour, they observed NanoTerasu’s advanced beamlines and prototype electromagnets.

On February 18, a delegation from the Federation of Science and Technology Organizations visited NanoTerasu.
The group was guided by Director Kawakami of the NanoTerasu Secretariat and Masataka Kado, Leader of the Promotion and Public Relation Group. The visit included an overview presentation on NanoTerasu, followed by a tour of the experimental hall, where the delegation observed the facility’s advanced synchrotron radiation infrastructure and research environment.
